Since the motor car was invented, it has been used to transport goods. In our branch with equiping expedition vehicles, this is one of the most important items on the vehicle. The car manufacturers set a maximum carrying capacity for each different model, but this is rarely heeded to. It is important to place loads and heavy items as low as possible, minimising centre of gravity, and reducing the chances of rolling your vehicle.
To ensure that one can load the maximum weight, the rack construction has to be very light, but at the same time extremely strong and remain flexible. When driving off road, the bodies of most 4x4 tend to deform slightly. A rigid roof rack can cause a lot of damage, especially to vehicles with rain channels.
The new EEZI AWN K9 roof racks have been developed over almost 2 years, tried and tested, chopped and changed until they reached the point of near perfection and fulfillled the especially meet the European customer demands.
These K9 roof racks fulfill all of our creiterions and wishes. Due to its extremely low profile, there is hardly anywind noise or vibrations and the amount of extra fuel consumed is unnoticable.
The racks are now being sucessfully sold in Europe, England, South Africa, Australia and the USA, and up until now have received lots of praise from the users. The K9 racks are available for a very large range of current 4x4 vehicles. Other older vehicles, where rain channels are fitted, can also be equipped with the racks. A full list with dimensions and prices will shortly appear on this page.
K9 are available for a great many different vehicles such as VW, TOYOTA, LAND ROVER, MERCEDES, ISZUZU, JEEP, NISSAN, MITSUBISHI, SUZUKI etc. For some vehicles we offer the "X-PEDITION" version which is fitted with cargo railings and additional legs on each side.
